Digital Factory and Databricks Meetup 2026

A practical look at how data platforms and AI come together to deliver real business impact.

On April 14, we hosted the Digital Factory – Databricks Data Meetup at MOL Campus, bringing together data and analytics professionals, engineers and business leaders around one key question: how does AI actually create value in real business environments?

The event centered around a practical perspective. Instead of high-level promises, we focused on what it really takes to move from BI foundations to AI embedded in everyday business processes, and what needs to be in place for these solutions to deliver measurable impact.

The evening opened with a talk by Márton Hárs, who walked the audience through Digital Factory’s 8-year journey from enterprise data platforms to AI-powered applications. His talk highlighted not only the technological evolution, but also the organizational and business decisions behind scaling data and AI capabilities.

This was followed by a roundtable discussion with Péter Szabolcs, Miklós Pongrácz and Máté Tilk from Digital Factory, joined by István Viz and Xintia Gyenge from Databricks. The discussion explored what AI readiness really means in practice, from defining high-value use cases to building the right architecture and internal capabilities.

After the main stage, the event shifted into a more hands-on format with expo sessions and live demos. Participants could explore real use cases, dive deeper into specific topics, and engage directly with both Digital Factory and Databricks experts. The Databricks stand provided a closer look at their platform, including AI, machine learning and Genie capabilities, along with the opportunity for direct, informal discussions.

The evening closed with networking, where conversations continued around real challenges, lessons learned and future opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussions. For a glimpse of the evening and its best moments, explore our photo gallery.
